The Charms of Pure Love

Samael Aun Weor, one of the main masters of the Gnostic tradition, presents us with a profound vision of love, wisdom, and sacred sexuality.

For him, true love and wisdom should be the pillars of the life of Gnostics, especially in their homes. He makes a crucial distinction between true love and desire, warning that humanity, in its ignorance, confuses these two concepts, failing to understand that true love transcends carnal and egoic desires.

According to Samael, only great souls know what it truly means to love. To love, one must be, and those who have incarnated the Soul are the ones who truly know how to love. The man, still imperfect, has not yet attained the necessary perfection to experience love in its essence. The "I," plural and fragmented, incessantly battles, and it is this "I" that frequently replaces true love with selfish desires, causing internal and external conflicts.

In Gnostic homes, the environment must be one of joy, harmony, and peace, where music, dance, and love become forces that nourish the development of the Soul. However, certain practices, such as alcohol and fornication, should be avoided. Sexuality, in particular, must be treated with wisdom, with the practice of Sexual Magic being a key to transform and transmute creative energy.

Sexual Magic, in Samael’s view, is not for worldly pleasure, but for spiritual development. He states that true sexual union, between a man and a woman, must occur without ejaculation, as the transmutation of sexual energy is what creates true life and spiritual evolution. When the energy is spilled, the luminous forces that should serve to create new life are dissipated and replaced by negative energies that bring conflict, jealousy, and destruction.

Samael also addresses the issue of marriage, emphasizing that in its essence, marriage is a sacred practice. He criticizes religious institutions that have distorted the true meaning of marriage, such as Christianity and Buddhism, which, in their degeneration, preached celibacy and the separation of sexuality from spiritual process. The true teaching about perfect marriage, according to the Gnostic master, is one that allows the union of two souls with conscious love, and the practice of Sexual Magic between husband and wife is a means for spiritual ascension.

Furthermore, Samael warns against the dangers of those who seek to use Sexual Magic for selfish purposes, such as seducing or exploiting others. He affirms that such a practice, when perverted, leads to spiritual destruction and a fall into the abyss. Sexual Magic is a powerful tool, but it must be used responsibly, with purity, and within the context of sacred marriage.

In his vision, music and dance play an essential role in the process of transmutation, as they are forms of elevating the soul and connecting the individual with cosmic and divine forces. Art, beauty, and harmony should permeate the life of initiates, making every environment a reflection of heaven and spiritual perfection.

Samael Aun Weor, with his profound and often challenging teachings, guides us toward a higher understanding of sexuality, love, and wisdom, which, when lived in their purest and highest form, lead us to true spiritual fulfillment.
