Today, we will talk about intuition, that precious virtue of the soul deeply connected to the heart chakra and the pineal gland. We will explore the importance of awakening this wonderful faculty.

This "seventh sense," and discuss two simple practices to help you begin perceiving this beautiful flower within you.

What is Intuition?

At a basic level, intuition can be understood as the ability to know without the need to resort to reason. Reason typically follows a comparative process: "this is white because that is black," "this is tall because that is short." But in intuition, this process doesn’t exist. It doesn’t rely on comparisons; it comes directly from the heart. Intuition is a direct perception of truth, without the need for options or choices.

In the silence of your mind, intuition manifests itself. It is in this silence that intelligent action is born, capable of dissipating all doubts. It is in mental stillness that we find freedom and wisdom. Intuitive action is not a reaction, but the innate, limitless ability to perceive with the heart.

Intuition as a Higher Power of the Soul

Developing intuition is recognizing a higher power within us. The master Krishnamurti used to say that intuition is the key to intelligence, the flower of intelligence. Intuitive messages reach you through the higher centers of the soul, and when you are receptive, you can pick up these impressions and illuminate them in your consciousness, guiding your journey with more clarity.

Intuition and the Faculty of Interpenetration

From a broader perspective, we can understand intuition as the faculty of interpenetration. The master Samael Aun Weor shares an interesting story from Chinese philosophy that illustrates this concept:

"There was a Chinese empress who didn’t quite understand the concept of intuition. A wise man explained it as the 'Faculty of Interpenetration.' She didn’t understand immediately, so the sage placed a lit candle in the center of a room and surrounded it with ten mirrors. The light from the candle was reflected in each mirror, creating a play of reflections, with the light projected from one mirror to another. The empress then understood the concept of intuition."

This story reveals that intuition allows us to see the multiple dimensions of a reality, not just its surface but its deeper unfoldings, seeing it from the perspective of the whole.

Intuition and the Knowledge of God

In the philosophy of Baruch Spinoza, when we reach a level of intuitive knowledge, we integrate the creative power that is present in us and in the universe. This brings us closer to God, as we can access the divine energy expressed in the creation of the world. We become aware that we are part of that creative energy.

How to Develop Your Intuition: Two Simple Practices

Intuition has different levels, and the practices we present here are just a start to help you familiarize yourself with it. The highest form of intuition, known as Prajña-Paramita, can eventually lead you to an experience far beyond the body, emotions, time, and mind.

Exercise 1: Questions and Answers in Silence

The first exercise is simple: ask yourself questions and wait for the answers that come from the silence of the mind. For example, if someone calls you, before answering, place your hand on your heart and ask, "Who is calling me?" Or, if someone rings the doorbell, place your hand on your heart chakra and ask, "Who is calling me?"

With time and practice, you will start to hear the voice of silence – the voice of intuition.

Exercise 2: The "O" Vowel Mantra

The second exercise involves using the "O" vowel mantra. The letter "O" is connected to the heart center. To practice, breathe deeply through your nose, and as you exhale, pronounce the letter "O" in an extended manner, like: "OOOOOOOO." Simultaneously, visualize a green flame in the center of your chest, like a vortex of energy spinning. Let the sound and visualization flow naturally.

In the video description, we’ve included a practice with the "O" mantra and mountain wind to help intensify the practice.

The Importance of Continuity

It is important to remember that any esoteric exercise, including the ones we’re sharing, requires continuity. If you practice today but forget tomorrow, you won’t achieve the desired results, which may lead to frustration and wasted time. Only with true discipline will you be able to develop this precious faculty called intuition.

Conclusion

We hope you enjoyed this practice and, if you already have experience with intuition, share it in the comments. The development of intuition can be a powerful path to illuminate your journey, bringing more clarity, wisdom, and connection to the deepest parts of yourself.
